Almanacs, yearbook and miscellaneas 1701-1918 online version Database contents more than six thousand bibliographical entries of continued publications – almanacs and yearbooks. These special documents were edited with intent to continue in regular or irregular intervals, but less than two times in one year. Almanacs and yearbooks are special witnesses of historical development in educational system, activities and life of scientific and literature societies during 18th – first third of 20th century. They provide interesting evidences about various aspects of life in our society in the past. Chronologically they cover more than two centuries (1701-1918). Concerning to specific historical development in multicultural and multiethnic Hungary this collection includes documents in five languages (Slovak, Hungarian, German, Latin and Ruthenian). In case of territorial aspect belong into this group titles printed or published in present territory of Slovak Republic. |
